Will is certified by the Law Society of Upper Canada as a Specialist in Civil Litigation, and is a seasoned litigator in professional liability litigation, Canadian intellectual property and alternative dispute resolution. His practice focuses on intellectual property matters and information technology, from protecting IP in digital documents to copyright infringement litigation to legal opinions on emerging IP issues. He has decades of experience in professional liability litigation, including acting as counsel for the Law Society of Upper Canada, LawPRO and numerous law firms.

In addition to his trial work, Will is experienced in mediation and alternative dispute resolution, achieving workable settlements for clients in appropriate cases.

Will has been a mentor with the Law Society of Upper Canada, and a volunteer with Ontario Bar Assistance Program, focusing on work life balance and mental health in the legal profession.

A well respected community member, Will has ridden the Ride to Conquer Cancer five times with his friends and neighbours in the “Bloor West Village Idiots”, and also sails and sits on the Board of Directors of the Mimico Cruising Club, where he is Director of Cruising. He is a visual artist, a musician and author of the book ENEMY ARROWS, a work of historical fiction that pays tribute to the city’s indigenous roots. Will has three grown daughters who live in Western Canada, where he spends happy times with them skiing, hiking, and exploring.
