James is a lawyer involved in Magyar, Bogle & O’Hara’s corporate and commercial practice for clients throughout Canada and the United States. He works on issues relating to the structuring, governance, and financing of companies, mergers and acquisitions, cross border transactions, leasing, franchising, rollups, and technology transactions including IP licensing, primarily for companies in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and consumer goods sectors.
Concurrently to his role at the firm, James serves as a special advisor to the CEO of a biopharmaceutical company, and also serves on the board of a medical device company involved in neurological therapeutics. In his spare time, James works with the Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, AI MED International, and is studying for his pilot’s licence. James has attended the CBA Tax Law for Lawyers Conference, and has a particular interest in tax strategy.
James graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, having previously attended City, University of London and the University of Toronto. While in law school, James won several awards for his studies in corporate and commercial law. He is currently a candidate for the New York and California bars.
