James is a lawyer involved in Magyar, Bogle & O’Hara’s corporate matters and commercial litigation for clients throughout Canada and the United States. He works on issues relating to the structuring, governance, and financing of companies, cross border transactions, intellectual property strategy, licensing arrangements, mergers and acquisitions, and complex litigation, primarily for companies in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and consumer goods sectors.
James graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School, having previously attended the University of London and the University of Toronto. He is currently a candidate for the New York and California bars. While in law school, James won several awards for his studies in corporate and commercial law.
Prior to joining Magyar, Bogle & O’Hara, James worked in both the banking and insurance industries, as well as an advisor to the CEO of a biopharmaceutical company. James currently serves on the board of a medical device company involved in neurological therapeutics. In his spare time, James works with the Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County, the International Society for Pediatric Innovation, and AI MED International.
